Empowering Pakistani Youth: The Transformative Potential of Cisco Courses

This landmark partnership between Cisco and University Spoken English (USECS) marks a pivotal moment for skill development in Pakistan. Through this collaboration, USECS is now empowered to offer world-class Cisco courses and certifications, directly enabling Pakistani youth to access globally recognised training right here in Peshawar, facilitated by the expertise and vision of Aleem Shah Khilji.

Globally Recognised Cisco Certifications Now Available at USECS

It was a warm September morning when I embarked on a journey from Peshawar to Islamabad with Mr. Ahsan. The intense heat of the weather was making its presence strongly felt. The purpose of this trip was noble and specific: to meet with Mr. Faheem Anwar in Islamabad, who is the Country Director for Cisco in Afghanistan and Pakistan. During the journey, one question constantly revolved in my mind: can our youth be equipped with the global standard skills that would enable them to establish their standing and secure a place in the world market?

Bridging the Skills Gap: Cisco’s Vision for Pakistan’s Future

The meeting with Mr. Faheem Anwar at the Marriott Hotel, Islamabad, was a memorable occasion, where his simplicity and sincerity were practically demonstrated. During the meeting, Mr. Faheem Anwar gave a detailed briefing on Cisco’s training programs. He emphasised the importance of these training courses for the youth from Pakistan’s tribal areas and the children of Pakistani labourers working in the Gulf. His conversation reflected confidence and experience, and his personality showed a clear vision for future progress. Our meeting also aimed at the same objective: to train the poor labourers of this land with modern skills, to uplift them from physically demanding labour to respectable positions where Indians and Bangladeshis are establishing themselves. It is worth noting that Cisco is a global networking company with assets of $ 124.4 billion and 90,400 employees working worldwide.

Mr. Faheem Anwar clarified during the meeting that these Cisco courses from USECS can make the youth of Malakand Region and tribal areas successful not only in networking but also in the field of modern technology. We are well aware that a large number of our country’s labour class go to Gulf countries, especially Saudi Arabia, for hard labour for years and work there for thirty years on very low wages in minor jobs. If the children of these individuals are trained in Cisco courses, they can uplift their parents from arduous labour in those countries and themselves attain higher positions. These courses will provide them with the global standard training essential for success in the global market.

Beyond Technical Skills: Communication and Global Recognition with Cisco

During my meeting with Mr. Faheem Anwar, I also emphasised that we must train our youth not only in skills but also in communication and the English language, so that they can prove their competence during their work. After this meeting, it became clear to me that the youth of Malakand Region and tribal areas will not only dominate the Gulf but will also liberate their parents from generations of servitude. The time has come for Pakistan to join this modern global race.

Another significant development during this meeting was the agreement between Cisco and University Spoken English, under which you will now be provided with this global-level training and certificate from University Spoken English, which will be authenticated and recognised by any institution in any developed country worldwide. All necessary resources for training and teaching basic Cisco courses have been made available to students. These courses will not only provide them with job opportunities in Gulf countries but also facilitate their access to higher positions in major companies globally.

Why Cisco Courses Matter: Unlocking Global Opportunities for Pakistani Professionals

Our youth who have attained Matric, Intermediate, or Bachelor’s degrees, if they complete these Cisco courses, can become not just labourers but global-standard professionals. Now, it is the responsibility of parents to prepare their children for these courses so that they can benefit from global market opportunities and ease their lives, rather than merely engaging in strenuous labour. The world is changing rapidly, and practical modern skills have become indispensable for success. The demand for networking and system administration is increasing worldwide, and individuals with expertise in these fields are getting better international opportunities. In this context, Cisco courses hold special importance because they provide global-standard networking and IT training, which are in high demand in the global market.

Cisco’s Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) trainings are recognised worldwide. These courses not only provide expertise in networking and system administration but also make them useful in cybersecurity and other areas of modern IT infrastructure. Currently, companies worldwide are looking for experts to improve their network security, and Cisco courses prepare these young people for such positions.

A Golden Opportunity: Preparing Youth for the Global Market through Cisco

This is a golden opportunity for the youth of Pakistan, especially those from Malakand and the tribal areas. If the youth from these areas receive training through these courses, they will become eligible for better jobs not only within the country but also at the global level. These courses will equip them with the skills necessary for success in the global market.
To prepare these young people, it is essential to provide them not only with technical networking training but also with communication and English language skills. These young people must understand that if they complete these Cisco courses with dedication and hard work, they can become not just labourers but global-standard professionals.

It is time for the government and educational institutions to devise plans to teach modern skills to the youth in these areas. Parents must also understand the importance of these courses, as they can provide their children with better global opportunities. The government should particularly focus on establishing training centres in these areas where these courses can be taught locally.

The youth in these areas must prepare themselves for these courses and understand that a few months of hard work can change their lives. They must take their education and training seriously to successfully enter the global market. In this regard, we are continuously campaigning, sometimes through podcasts and sometimes through our sessions in various institutions, to highlight the usefulness and importance of this matter so that maximum benefit can be extended to our people.

Dedication and Modern Skills: The Path to Success with Cisco

I believe that if we provide our generation with modern education and technical training, they can make their place in any market in the world. When a person has dedication and courage, no obstacle can stop them from reaching their goal. When you have the passion to turn your dreams into reality, no difficulty in the world can come your way. I always tell my students that to achieve success, merely getting an education is not enough; you also need to prepare yourself with modern skills and according to the needs of the current era.

If a person has dedication, they can make the impossible possible through hard work and perseverance. Those positions that seem impossible today can become our reality tomorrow based on that same dedication and skills. This is the secret to success that you continue to move forward with your hard work, dedication, and in the right direction. My example is proof of how, starting from a small room of 20 wooden chairs, a big dream can be materialised. If you have true dedication in your heart, nothing can keep you away from your destination. The success of the University Spoken English and Computer Science attests to the fact that dedication and hard work lead a person to places where very few people in the world reach.

My wish is that our youth also adopt this vision, cultivate true dedication within themselves, and, equipped with modern skills, turn their dreams into reality.
